The 2011 Next Steps for Small Business tour, a no-cost event, aims to help small business owners take new ground in expanding their operations.
Sponsored by the SCV Small Business Development Center at COC, the event will be held Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Valencia.
Whether it is expanding your sales through social media, learning about how to sell to the government, or finding out the many benefits to selling internationally, attendees will leave with new ideas for growth.
Expert speakers will explore what it takes to be successful in today’s economy, and participants will get small-group face-to-face contact time with panelists from all the breakout topics.
Featured speakers include: Darnell Holloway of Yelp; Evan Lazarus of LazBro Inc.; Danetta Jackson from the California Department of General Services; and Pamela Smith-Cressel from the U.S. General Services Administration.
Breakout session topics are: Social media and marketing; selling internationally; access to capital; and procurement.
Attendance is free but pre-registration is required. Lunch is included. To register, visit www.californiasbdc.org/nextsteps.
