This week’s SCVTV/California Superstores Outstanding Student of the Week is Megan Dawe from Saugus High School. Megan has a cumulative GPA of 4.53 and scored 1970 on the SAT. Megan knows her options increase with better grades.
“As long as I work hard throughout high school, it’ll open up more opportunities for when I want to go college,” Megan said. “Because if I do it now it will be more available later.”
Megan is also a First Team All-Foothill League basketball player, and schools like Claremont-McKenna, Occidental and NYU have shown interest in her athletic skills as well as her academic.
“It’s pretty important,” she said, on playing basketball at the next level. “I really want to continue doing it so it’s going to be really important in my decision where to apply.”
Megan knows where her strengths are academically and is planning to follow that course of study, even though she is not certain where it will take her.
“I know I would like to major in business or economics,” Megain said. “But I’m not really sure which direction I want to pursue. But I know that’s my focus.”
Congratulations to Megan Dawe of Saugus High School, our SCVTV/California Superstores Outstanding Student of the Week.
