Firefighters forced their way into a home in Stevenson Ranch on Friday morning to extinguish flames that ignited in the garage.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials at the scene said their preliminary assessment indicated it was electrical in nature.
Five fire companies responded to the call that came in at about 10:30 a.m. Nobody was home when fire fighters arrived.

“We had a fairly quick response time and we were able to knock it down fairly quickly,” said Capt. Paul Peppard of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The flames were contained to the garage and did not extend into the home at 25808 Tenneyson Lane.
Damage was estimated at $75,000 to the structure plus $10,000 in personal property, Peppard said. No injuries were reported.
