The preliminary setting hearing for alleged pedophile Alexander Boswell was continued to March 15 after an agreement was reached between the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office and Boswell’s lawyer.
On Jan. 31t the 20 year-old Westridge resident pleaded innocent to 12 felony counts of forcible lewd acts upon a child, according to the district attorney’s office.
If convicted as charged, Boswell could face a maximum sentence of 120 years in prison. Boswell, who works at a food service establishment outside of Santa Clarita, had his bail set at $1.2 million.
The charges involve one victim, a 10-year-old boy, with the alleged abuse occurring between March 2007 and June 2008, making the suspect between the ages of 16 and 17 when the crimes were committed. However, the D.A.’s office is charging Boswell as an adult.
Boswell was arrested Nov. 30 at his home on Silver Aspen Way.
