1947 - Newhall Hardware opens on Spruce Street, now called Main Street [story]

Mixers is leaving.

Saturday, April 14, will be the last day for the popular dinner and entertainment venue at 26532 Bouquet Canyon Road.

Restaurant operators said they’re planning to reopen in a new SCV location – but the new location has not yet been determined.

They released the following notice Tuesday:

“Yes, unfortunately we will be moving from our current Bouquet Canyon location. We would like to thank our many loyal guests for all their continued support. While we’ve enjoyed our time here, it’s become clear to us that our concept compliments an entertainment based, night life atmosphere. So, we will be pulling out of the strip mall & moving uptown. As soon as we’ve secured the perfect location, we will let you know.

“AS FOR THIS WEEK… We welcome you to come down and enjoy all your favorite items for the last time.

“WE WILL BE OFFERING ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS (UP TO 50% OFF) ON ALL OUR MENU ITEMS, along with amazing special created by Chef Victor Davidson. We suggest you join us as soon as possible. As our perishable stock depletes, unique dishes will disappear off the menu. Our standards & reputation for quality remain of the utmost importance; in other words… if it isn’t perfect, we won’t make it.

“Our last night of operation will be this SATURDAY the 14th. We will be hosting a special fundraiser to help support the fight against breast cancer. The theme is “PINK”. There will be no cover charge; all we ask is that you wear some sort of pink attire. Sponsors will be donating money for every guest dressed in pink. So you’ll make a difference just by showing up… There will be a few amazing reggae bands, along with our infamous Mixers DJs. We will reach capacity, so come early… party starts at 8pm.

“So come on down & help us make this last week, one to remember.”
