The Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center will hold its Annual Caregiver Resource Day on Saturday May 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will provide education, support and resources to those caring for loved ones with chronic conditions related to aging, such as Alzheimer’s disease. Keynote speakers are: Helena Chang Chui, M.D., Director, USC Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, who will speak about the latest research in aging and dementia, Rachelle Dardeau, MS, MSW, Executive Director, SCV Senior Center, who will speak about coping with the stresses of being a family caregiver; and Elder Law Attorney Jane M. McNamara who will provide insight into preserving assets and independence.
Registration is $5 per person: includes all sessions, resource materials, access to vendors, and continental breakfast. Free drawings also featured throughout the event.
