Lashinda Demus
Olympic silver medalist Lashinda Demus will be making a guest appearance on SCV Today, Santa Clarita’s morning television show airing on SCVTV.
The show will first air Thursday, Aug. 30, at 8 a.m., with repeats Thursday at 2 p.m., Friday morning at 1 a.m. and 8 a.m., and finally at 2 p.m. Friday.
Demus, a Palmdale resident who is an assistant track coach at College of the Canyons, lost the gold by 7/100’s of a second to Russia’s Natalya Antyukh in the 400-meter hurdles at the London Olympics earlier this month. In September, 2011, the mother of twin five-year-old boys ran the third fastest time ever, 52.47 seconds, in Daegu, South Korea, to win the world championship. That time also broke the American record for the distance.
Demus will also appear on an upcoming episode of Newsmaker of the Week on SCVTV at a time to be determined.
