[HMNMH] – Good cheer and tidings of the season will abound during Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital’s 32nd Annual Holiday Home Tour festivities on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. The “Holiday Surprise and Delight” themed events will benefit Henry Mayo’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), which opened in June 2012.

During this spectacular holiday event, visitors will have an opportunity to tour three homes decorated in unique themes of festive holiday décor in the heart of Santa Clarita Valley neighborhoods including Placerita Canyon and Westridge (behind the gates). The tour, sponsored by Schwartz Oil Company, Inc, is hosted by the hospital’s Home Tour League. As in past Home Tour events, professional designers, in collaboration with the homeowners, will  showcase their unique themes to the homes.

Jo Ann Vindigni, president of the Home Tour League, coordinated the introduction of a new feature this year. One of the festivehomes in Westridge will be decorated by a team of students from the architecture and interior design program at College of the Canyons who will be on hand during the Tour to answer any questions from visitors. Patrick Tremblay, a professional designer and design teacher at COC,will  incorporatie holiday themes into a newly constructed 3,500-square-foot Spanish restoration-style home in Placerita Canyon. Designer Brenda Miller, who is new to the Home Tour, will  addi her special touches to the other home in Westridge.

“This promises to be a great year for the Home Tour,” said Vindigni. “All three homes will have their own special twists. We have the new home in Placerita Canyon which we are very excited about. And the COC design students will be using sustainable design elements for their holiday home. The third home should prove to be quite the showcase with all  its custom carved wood touches. It will all be very interesting.”

Tickets for the tour are available at a special price of $25 until November 30, and $30 on the day of the Tour. Tickets are available for purchase at www.henrymayogiving.com and participating stores, and will be available for sale at each home and at the boutique at the Hyatt Regency Valencia on the day of the event. The tour is open to all adults and children over 12 years of age. For safety reasons, guests are requested to wear flat shoes only.

Holiday shoppers looking for unique gifts will be delighted with the Home Tour’s indoor holiday gift boutique at the Hyatt Regency Valencia on Saturday, December 1, the day of the tour. The boutique is open to the public 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tours of the homes will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Also available for purchase, there will be a lunch special at the Vines restaurant at the Hyatt for Tour ticketholders.

Holiday revelers are also invited to ring in the season with the Preview Gala on Friday, November 30, to enjoy an exclusive first look at the homes from 6 to 9 p.m. and a festive buffet dinner at  the Oaks Grill at TPC, 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. There will also be a raffle of some very exclusive items. Gala tickets are available for $100 per person and can be purchased by calling (661)253-8051 or visiting Henry Mayo’s website at www.henrymayogiving.com.

The Holiday Home Tour League has provided 32 years of holiday cheer to the Santa Clarita Valley and generated more than $750,000 for Henry Mayo. Proceeds from this year’s events will benefit Henry Mayo’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

“It’s all for our tiny new citizens,” Vindigni said.

For information about the holiday events or to purchase tickets, please contact the hospital’s Volunteer Services office at (661) 253-8051 or visit www.henrymayogiving.com.
