Tickets are still available for the WiSH Education Foundation’s inaugural fundraising event, “A Starry, Starry Night,” to be held on Saturday, Oct. 13th. The event will be a two-part star-studded evening of entertainment and fun that has something for everyone to enjoy, while supporting academics, programs and extracurricular activities for all students in the Hart School District.

The evening will start in the Hart High Auditorium at 7:30 pm where guests will be treated to a fantastic 90-minute professionally staged show performed by popular celebrities from So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars. Performers scheduled to appear include: Louis Van Amstel, Anna Trebunskaya and Dmitry Chaplin from Dancing with the Stars; Lauren Froderman, Kent Boyd, Chris Koehl, Ashley Galvan, Noelle Marsh, Tadd Gadduang, Jordan Casanova and Alex Wong from So You Think You Can Dance. (All performers are subject to change without notice.)

Dancing with the Stars finalist Kyle Massey, best known from the Disney shows Cory in the House and That’s So Raven, is slated to host, along with actress Cassie Scerbo, who is best known as Brooke on the ABC Family show Make It or Break Kyle It, and starred in the Bring It On trilogy of films. The award-winning Hart High School Dance Team will also perform.

Following the family-friendly variety show, VIP ticket holders will move next door to the SCV Boys & Girls Club for a VIP After-Party, which includes a meet and greet with the celebrities, music, dancing, silent auction, desserts and cocktails. Guests must be 21 and older for the after-party event. Children and teens 5-18 with VIP tickets can enjoy their own adult-supervised party in the Kid’s Room adjacent to the Boys & Girls Club venue. Refreshments will be served.

The WiSH Education Foundation was established recently with a group of 15 local community leaders and public school advocates to raise additional funds for the Hart School District to maintain its high quality programs, during this challenging time of state budget cuts. The Vision Statement of this 501(c)3 non-profit organization is: The Wm. S. Hart Education Foundation is dedicated to quality public education for all students. Through the generosity of our caring community and corporate partners, we fund programs and initiatives that go beyond what tax dollars provide and help elevate and prepare our students for life. WiSH is the official private-fundraising organization for the support of the William S. Hart Union High School District’s educational programs.

A limited number of VIP tickets will be available for $100, which includes a special VIP seating area for the performance, and admission to the VIP After-Party. Entertainment show tickets are $40 each and will be general seating. Sponsorship opportunities are available! For more information about the WiSH Education Foundation and to purchase event tickets visit www.WiSHscv.org, email WiSH@hartdistrict.org or call 661.799.WiSH (9474).

The 76.6-mile-long Antelope Valley Line has the third-highest ridership in Metrolink’s system with an estimated average of 9,000 passengers daily. However, the uneven terrain and single-tracking along the line in some areas forces trains to travel at a slower speed which results in an estimated travel time of approximately one hour between Santa Clarita and Union Station.
