SCVTV, Santa Clarita’s only local television channel, went live with scores, highlights and interviews after Friday’s playoff games in boys basketball and soccer.

The show, a special edition of the weekly highlight show “Inside Sports,” offered highlights of the West Ranch basketball game with Ventura, interviews with coaches following their games, as well as highlights from Valencia boys soccer’s win over visiting Chino.  Coaches from Hart, Valencia, Saugus, Canyon and Trinity Classical Academy were all interviewed after their respective playoff games.

“Inside Sports,” hosted by Dave Caldwell, normally airs on Monday and Thursday nights at 8 pm on SCVTV, which can be seen in Santa Clarita on Time Warner Cable Channel 20, AT&T U-Verse Channel 99 and on the internet as a live stream on SCVTV.com.

Passing the entrance sometime after 3 a.m., I saw some trucks entering the dump. I was too tired to notice the time. As I approached the town, the smell went away. It was on a west wind, and I was now upwind of the dump. I continued all the way around to Hasley Canyon, then Commerce Center Drive and turned toward the Castaic Union School District office. The smell was stronger, the closer I got to the dump.
