After a high speed chase on the Interstate 5 between Castaic and Santa Clarita on Monday afternoon, deputies detained three burglary suspects, one female and two males.
The suspects exited the freeway at Valencia Boulevard, where they abandoned their vehicle, said Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
One woman was detained at Star Canyon Place and Lupine Street in the Hillcrest community. Area residents told SCVNews.com she was hiding in a trash receptacle.
The two men were arrested at gunpoint when they emerged from beneath the lid of a jacuzzi in a resident’s backyard in Valencia.
“A” marks the spot, roughly, where the female suspect was apprehended.

Deputies are investigating a possible burglary, after a suspect entered the backyard of a home on June Rose Court in Castaic, and the homeowner called 911, according to Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station officials.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Parks Bureau is in pursuit on the southbound Interstate 5.
The suspect was driving a 2013 Nissan Altima rental vehicle.
