SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Master’s College women’s cross country and track programs have signed Amanda Nesheim for the 2014-15 campaign.
“This team’s legacy is something I have wanted to be a part of since I was a high school freshman,” commented Nesheim. “I am hoping to become a stronger and faster runner and competitor. I hope to contribute a godly, positive, and determined character to the team.”
Nesheim, a Stevenson Ranch, California, native has competed for the West Ranch Wildcats over the last four years and is expected to make an immediate impact for the Lady Mustangs.
The future Lady Mustang harrier boasts an impressive resume consisting of 2010 Rookie of theYear honors, a 2012 CIF Southern Section prelim finalist, a recipient of West Ranch’s 2012 Team Leadership award, and recently set a new personal record in the marathon with a time of 3 hours and 48 minutes.
Commenting on why she chose The Master’s College, Nesheim stated, “To quote John MacArthur, “If you don’t have a Christian education are you even educated?” I chose The Master’s College because it is so solidly grounded in the truth. I am so excited to grow spiritually and in my love for my Savior and knowledge of His Word through the professors and students. I love the cross country team and coaches.”
When not competing, Nesheim plans to major in Liberal Studies to prepare for a desired career as an elementary school teacher.
The Lady Mustang cross country program manufactured strong marks in 2013, producing four All-GSAC cross country athletes: Karis Frankian, Katrina Graham, Rachel Ingoldsby, and Hannah Kellerman.
Looking to another fruitful 2014-15 season, the Lady Mustangs will be graduating key three seniors, but returning six seasoned veterans.
