growhouse030614bDeputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit, along with deputies assigned to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Crime Impact Team, patrol, detective bureau, and the Special Assignment Team conducted a large-scale, multiple location parole-probation compliance operation early Thursday morning.

All of the locations were in the Canyon Country area, inside the city of Santa Clarita limits.

This operation is part of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station’s ongoing proactive efforts to ensure that convicted criminals living in the Santa Clarita Valley including within the city limits and the unincorporated areas are in compliance with the terms and conditions of their probation after release from jail.

Deputies responded to approximately fifteen different locations during this morning’s operation.  At the conclusion of the operation the following people (all residents of Canyon Country) were placed under arrest:

* A 24 year old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, narcotics paraphernalia, and a probation violation in the 18200 block of Flynn Drive.

growhouse030614a* A 54-year-old male and a 49-year-old female were arrested for cultivation of marijuana.  Deputies discovered an approximately 75-plant marijuana grow along with a THC laboratory in the 27600 block of Hermes Lane.

* A 31 year old male was arrest for possession of burglary tools and a probation violation in the 27500 block of Bernina Avenue.

* A 29 year old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 18500 block of Soledad Canyon Road.

* A 36-year-old male was arrested for a weapons violation along with a probation violation in the 18500 block of Soledad canyon Road.

* A 24-year-old male was arrested for possession of concentrated cannabis along with a probation violation in the 27500 block of Sierra Highway.

* A 24 year old male was arrest re: flash incarceration in the 19000 block of Lonerock Street.

These types of operations and others just like it will continue throughout the year to ensure that convicted criminals remain in compliance. Criminals who choose to break the law and are caught will be arrested.

Man-made law making nature illegal makes so much sense. Good for you ‘just doing our job’ guys you saved so many lives! LaWlZ

  9. Catch the people distrubiting cocaine… its more widely afforable there..

  10. I have never tried this stuff how ever I feel if it’s natural and grows from the earth it has it’s purpose on the planet just like everything else from fly’s to fruit… Making a plant illegal is nuts and besides how has one man got authority over another to say that something natural is not allowed ….

Looks like Home Depot to me

  12. Shane Senior Shane Senior says:

  18. Kelly Andrus Kelly Andrus says:

    What, not here???

  19. I don’t smoke (anything) but what other people choose to put into their own bodies is none of my concern. Marijuana prohibition laws are absurd, and a waste of law enforcement resources.
Let’s end the costly, failed drug “war” and free up our overcrowded prisons for the real criminals, of which far too many are still on the streets.

  20. Wasted tax dollars. Seriously. I don’t smoke but I know people who need to as medication. Go jail someone who deserves the jail time, Mayor Laurene Weste.

  21. John, Which one of your rentals was this? lol

  28. lol “crime”, go stop real criminals

  29. Its funny that the police care so much about weed when Santa Clarita has one of the biggest heroin problem in the state. Why don’t they worry about that….

  30. Bonnie Ruiz Bonnie Ruiz says:

Sad they waste time on this

  31. Heroin is huge in Santa Clarita along with meth, go find something better do then to kill these this beautiful plants.

  33. Nick Ehlen Nick Ehlen says:

Wow what a great job!!thanks guys

  34. Talia Raviv Talia Raviv says:

Yeah good thing you busted this and protected Santa Clarita from what? Chilling out and sleeping ? While heroin and meth addicts are stealing, damaging themselves, and people around them. Good work. Really good to know the people, who are supposed to keep me safe, have their priorities all messed up and waste their time on this crap when there is actually people out there commuting real crimes….

  35. Elliott Todd Elliott Todd says:

Rodi Popa If they owned a dispensary, they usually are the ones supplying it with their own crop.

  36. Rodi Popa Rodi Popa says:

oh I didn’t read the article lol

  37. The only crime is that they were busted. Why don’t they raid the pharmacies and banks instead?

  38. Mary Gregory Mary Gregory says:

Have you ever lived or walked by a pot growers home? The smell (stench) is so horrible. It gets in the walls yuck and is so hard to get rid of. Medicinal pot really helps some yes, but this is a hell of a lot of “medicine!”

  39. Josh Sreden Josh Sreden says:

@Mary Gregory.. Yes it’s the owners fault for letting the smell travel outside the home and they should have the equipment needed to do that if someone is growing in a neighborhood where children are near, but it’s also possible to get licensed to have your own little “pharmacy” as you would call it.

Another thing it’s one of the greatest smells. I don’t know what’chu talkin bout.

  40. Ronda Bird Ronda Bird says:

I wonder if they rented this house or if they owned it. Because if the rented it, the poor owner has to pay for the damage and clean up…

  41. John Gilbert is a fag

  42. What a waste of taxpayer dollars. Why don’t you pigs try busting the people pushing pharmaceuticals illegally, instead if busting people for growing a plant that harms no one.
