The future looks bright for The Master’s College men’s basketball team as newcomer Harrison White has signed to play for the Mustangs for the 2014-15 campaign.
White, a 6-5 native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, comes to the Mustangs after a four-year career at Wesleyan Christian Academy where he helped lead his team to a 2013 3A North Carolina championship. Academically, White excelled off the court as a three-time scholastic athlete.
The newest Mustang will transfer with three years of eligibility after spending a year at Brevard College.
Commenting on why he chose The Master’s College, White stated, “I love the sense of community and family that I can share with both my teammates and fellow students.”
Even before stepping foot on Bross Court, White has his eyes set on putting the Mustangs on the map by “…contending for a championship in our division every year.”
Coach Sugarman believes White can go the distance.
“Harrison is prototypical 3-man who can shoot it, slash, and defend his position well,” said Sugarman. “White played for a state championship team in high school and his added collegiate experience will benefit our team well. He is a man of character who is a great fit for our program and school. I look forward to seeing his growth as a basketball player, a student and a young man.”
White looks to aid the Mustangs as a shooting guard and a small forward. Off the court, White looks to major in Business Administration for a desired career in sales.
White will make his debut with the Mustangs in their home opener against La Sierra on November 8. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM on Bross Court.
