Families stepped right up and had a bundle of good times at the first-ever Brandon Chandler Foundation End of Summer Carnival. Everywhere you looked you saw smiles, whether they were playing the boat regatta, eating a snow cone or getting their face painted. Even an ice cream eating contest tested the toughest of us all.
Magician Rob Rasner (rasnermagic.com) performed two magic shows filled with oohs and ahhs, and of course laughter. The silent auction featured more than 40 items that kept everyone bidding up to the last seconds.
All of the proceeds raised go toward Brandon’s Fish Kits. A Fish Kit is given to pre-screened inmates upon their release from prison. The kit contains all necessary toiletry items, a phone card, bus card, a food gift card, and fresh clothes to help them feel human again. The goal of the kit is not only to give a previous inmate necessary products, but also to let them know someone is thinking about them, and rooting for them.

About the Brandon Chandler Foundation
The Brandon Chandler Foundation supports Christian educational programs and vocational training opportunities for current inmates as well as recently released individuals making their re-entry into society. We have been called to “remember the prisoners as if chained with them.” -Hebrews 13:3
Brandon Chandler’s last days were filled with joy by knowing those he helped mentor inside the jails had hope. The day before Brandon’s passing he was visited by one of his first students that had just been released from jail. It was the last time he smiled. He smiled knowing he knew that man knew of his love. This foundation was created to carry on Brandon’s ministry inside and outside of the jails. Brandon took his friends, past inmates, to ice cream, to Bible study, to dinner with his parents. He knew that the men needed the most help those first days out of jail. He did not want them to go back, he wanted to see them free.
We have created Fish Kits. Fish Kits are first and for most to show an inmate someone is thinking of him. They also provide an inmate the essential toilettes and clothes that they would need to help them get back on their feet. When they are released many are just given paper suits. Our fish kits supply them with pants and a shirt to help them feel like a human being again. Thank you for visiting and please keep coming back to see us grow and see all the inmates we help along our journey.
