For the 16th consecutive year, The Master’s College was placed in the “First Tier” of “Western Regional Colleges” by U.S. News and World Report in their annual “America’s Best Colleges” rankings.
The news giant released the 30th edition of “America’s Best Colleges” on Tuesday, which measures the academic excellence of schools across the nation.
The study highlighted the affordability and quality of an education at The Master’s College.
TMC made the top ten “Best Value Schools” in the west. In addition, TMC ranked third out of the top five Western Region institutions whose class of 2013 graduated with the least debt. Of those five, TMC was the only private college to be included.
As a private institution, The Master’s College offers smaller class sizes and individualized attention from its nationally recognized faculty.
TMC ranked first in the west for its student-to-faculty ratio (10:1), in addition to offering small classes, 74 percent of which have fewer than 20 students.
Dr. Lee Duncan, Executive Vice President at TMC, commented on how the school has maintained its excellence.
“Although The Master’s College may be best known for its biblically based programs, its secret is the highly qualified faculty who prepare students for life, learning, scholarship and professional success,” he said.
U.S. News and World Report ranked The Master’s College fifth out of 33 regional schools in the western United States. Each college’s ranking is based on the freshman retention rate, average class size, student-to-faculty ratio, acceptance rate and tuition cost, among other factors.
Earlier this summer, The Master’s College also received a favorable ranking from Forbes Magazine, which placed the college in the top half of 650 schools across the nation.
