Public Officials Night Set for October 21st
The SCVEDC in conjunction with California Institute of the Arts will be hosting a Public Officials Night on Oct. 21, 2014. Please join us from 6:00pm-7:30pm at CalARTS . California Competes Application Period Opens this Month
The application period for the next round of California Competes Tax Credits opens September 29, 2014. $45M in state tax credits are available to businesses seeking to grow in the state. Companies considering making new investments in facilities or infrastructure, or who plan to increase employment, are encouraged to contact SCVEDC to explore whether to apply for CA Competes Tax Credits. The Tax Credit is administered by CA Go-Biz.

City of Santa Clarita Releases RFP for New Incubator
This week, the City of Santa Clarita released a Request for Proposal identify creative and technology focused start-up companies for the new Small Business Incubator in Old Town Newhall. In partnership with the Small Business Development Center, the incubator will support four to six entrepreneurs with low-cost office space and essential tools needed to grow a start-up company including support, guidance, consulting services, educational workshops, and networking opportunities.
