Castaic and Val Verde, Zone 2
Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information

The following crimes were reported in Zone 2, Castaic/Val Verde:
There was a residential burglary reported from the 30000 block of Cedar Oak Lane. The homeowner returned home to find his front door open and several rooms and dresser drawers ransacked. The safe in the master bedroom had been opened with the key and several thousand dollars in miscellaneous U.S. currency were missing. There were no signs of forced entry.
Please remember to close and lock your doors, and never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity. If you see any suspicious activity, call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
