  6. Water wheel car wash is the best, so I’m not looking for another car wash place. Lol

  7. My guess they choose the shot for the Soledad Cyn Corridor plan.

  8. If you open the attachment which is the agenda for the meeting, it does say Soledad and Camp Plenty. I’m not understanding the agenda and why they are talking about Valencia. I think they are requesting it be in Valencia instead. But I agree, we don’t need another car wash!!!

  9. I believe it is two different agenda items.

  10. Yes, something is planned for the corridor, they are putting in that new housing area…the car wash is another thing, planned for Valencia.

  26. Sharon Todd Sharon Todd says:

Clearly, most of you who posted didn’t bother to read the Planning Commission’s Agenda. FIRST ITEM states in part: …..@ 25048 Valencia Boulevard-located in VALENCIA-construction of a gas station and 6,000 square-foot commercial building, consisting of a convenience store, restaurant, and office…… includes an accessory, unmanned car wash……also requesting a CUP in order to sell liquor as part of the convenience store. An Oak Tree Permit is requested in order to remove one oak tree and encroach into the protected zone of two oak trees. SECOND ITEM states: This is a request to update the City of Santa Clarita’s zoning regulations and zoning map for the Soledad Canyon Road corridor planning area to ensure consistency with the General Plan, as required by State Law.

  30. Jeanne says:

The shopping center on Sierra Hwy across from Charter School is still vacant. What are the plans for?

  31. RJ Kelly says:

The photo belongs to Item #2. It is confusing since it comes before the Item #2 heading. That is my office which is in the Soledad Corridor. The planning commission needs better agenda planning.

The 76.6-mile-long Antelope Valley Line has the third-highest ridership in Metrolink’s system with an estimated average of 9,000 passengers daily. However, the uneven terrain and single-tracking along the line in some areas forces trains to travel at a slower speed which results in an estimated travel time of approximately one hour between Santa Clarita and Union Station.
