Snapshot 12/15/2014 – 12/21/2014
The following Part 1 crimes were reported in Saugus over the past week:
A petty theft was reported in the 20000 block of Chris Place on December 20th. The victim stated an acquaintance stolen personal items belonging to her from her residence overnight. Detectives are working on this incident.
There was a grand theft reported in the 22400 block of Georgia Lane which occurred sometime in the last month. The victim stated he had high end jewelry stolen from his residence sometime over the past month. He believes the items were taken by workers he had in the house at the time.
Crime Prevention Tip: Please remember to lock you vehicle when leaving it unattended. Take any items of value with you or secure them out of view or in the trunk of your vehicle. Thefts from unlocked vehicles are typically crimes of opportunity. The best defense to this type of crime is to not give the thief a chance in the first place.
