CLAREMONT, Calif. — The Master’s College men’s track and field team produced strong marks at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational Saturday in Claremont.
In the 100-meter dash, Andrew Sanchez led TMC by finishing the event in 11.34 seconds. Close behind, Samuel Jaimes notched a final time of 11.50.
Later, Sanchez went on to finish the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.22 while Jamies earned a time of 23.40. Sanchez then posted a staggering time of 49.14 in the 400-meter dash.
In the 800-meter run, Joshua Sherfey finished the even with an impressive time of 1:57.02 while Winston Provost ran the event in 2:01.53.
The 1500-meter was highlighted by Sherfey who posted a time of 3:58.79. Close behind was the duo of Skyler Mikessell and Provost who finished the event in 3:55.05 and 4:07.12, respectively.
In the 5000-meter event, Andrew Orona earned an eighth-place finish by clocking a final time of 15:21.45, while Richard Buckalew notched a time of 15:36.45. John Hurd finished the event in 15:48.34.
Finally, in the men’s 3000-meter steeplechase, Michael Sciarra completed the event in 9:58.80.
Now, TMC looks to finish its regular-season schedule at the Mangrum Invite in San Marcos.
