Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies are investigating a report of a gunshot victim in Canyon Country, officials said.

Deputies received a call shortly before 3 p.m. regarding a man who was shot in an apartment on the 18000 block of Annes Circle in Santa Clarita.

The suspect was a woman. No information was released on the suspect or the victim at this time.

The man sustained what appears to be non-life-threatening wounds, according to preliminary reports. The man was shot twice, once in his left thigh, and again in his forearm.

The man and the woman had a relationship, according to officials, and initial information indicates the shooting was a domestic violence incident.

Deputies were just arriving on scene as of 3:10 p.m., and one suspect has been detained, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

County Fire Department officials confirmed the call at 2:50 p.m., and arrived on scene at 3:03 p.m.

Preliminary reports indicate both the suspect and the victim were found in the same apartment complex, but Sheriff’s Station officials did not release any other information at this time.

Bulldoze Jakes way and build a park.

    • People live there, including me so

    • Yeah Todd…. Not everyone who lives in that area deserves to be looked down on you douche bag. There Are a staggering number of respectable, hardworking, give back to the community men and women starting young families who live in that area who are saving up to buy homes. I’m sure you remember those days, unless you were raised with that silver spoon in your judgemental mouth in daddies expensive house and never had to rent an apartment before.

I actually moved to that complex ( on Annes circle ) 15 years ago. It was actually quite nice then. It soon went “section 8”. Not long after it went downhill. Soon you couldn’t even go to the pool without being hassled by gang banger types. Stuff stolen out of my garage… Sad. Finally a shooting 20 yards from my door was enough. (Luckily no one hurt). There went the neighborhood.
