Deputies are searching for Michael Joe McGlothan, a 51-year-old African American man, who is considered to be armed and dangerous.

 

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man in the 27500 block of Sierra Highway, Santa Clarita.

Deputies responded to the location regarding an assault with a deadly weapon just occurred call, and discovered a female victim who was shot in the shoulder. Deputies searched the apartment that was indicated in the call and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Witnesses recalled hearing screams coming from the location prior to gunshots being heard.

Two male black suspects were seen leaving the location, one eastbound and the other westbound.

The female victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening wounds.

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no further information.

  28. Murder in Canyon Country, this makes me sad. Assault on the girlfriend too. They probably knew one another. Permanent solution to a temporary problem. Flared tempers. I hope he turns himself in, or is apprehended safely, without any harm to the public, or property. I’m sure that’s always the goal. If he resists in any way, or gives chase, they will beat his ass, which he’d deserve. I just hope it doesn’t have to end in another death without trial, not that I’m doubting his guilt or anything like that, but we do have a justice system. I hope for the families sake that the murderer is brought to justice. I know what it feels like to have a loved one murdered and their killer walks free.
