Formerly held on Main Street in Newhall, the City of Santa Clarita will now host the weekly Old Town Newhall Farmers’ Market year-round on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Newhall Community Center, located at 22421 Market Street.
California farmers and specialty food purveyors come together each Saturday, rain or shine, to bring you the finest in fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables, including organic, baked goods, flowers, herbs, cheeses and prepared foods. The Market offers patrons a chance to come face to face with their food source.
In addition to the fresh and delicious food available for purchase, the event will feature fun activities for the entire family. Every week, kids can spend time at the Buckaroo Corral for pony rides and a petting zoo.
Other events have been regularly scheduled one Saturday of each month and are sure to excite attendees. On the first Saturday of each month, the Children’s Team from the Old Town Newhall Library will attend the Farmers’ Market for “Story Time in the Buckaroo Corral” taking place from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. On the second Saturday of each month, beginning at 9:00 a.m., walk with Chef Herve and Chef Christine from Culinary Wonders as they answer questions on cooking and provide numerous ideas for preparing seasonal fruits and vegetables.
For more information on the Farmers’ Market contact the City’s Arts and Events Office at (661) 250-3787.

It took me 20 minutes to find it last week. Thank you for clarifying
It looks like the folks at Westfield Valencia Town Center Mall put the final stake in the Old Town Newhall farmer’s market by establishing their own farmer’s market on Thursdays in a much more desirable and accessible location. This is certainly within the Mall’s right to do so but it doesn’t speak well of their concern for the City’s attempt to inject more activity and interest in Old Town Newhall.
