[KHTS] – Triumph Foundation and 7 Star Industries are proud to announce the first Annual Memorial Day Adaptive Shooting Event for the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Triumph Foundation is a nonprofit organization that hosts these events to introduce the sport of target shooting to people that are disabled.
12 veterans were invited to the shooting range to receive one-on-one firearm instruction from professional range masters and six coaches that are also paralyzed.
“This is a confidence builder for them, they were trained to (shoot) when serving in the military but lost (the ability) after they were paralyzed,” said Andrew Skinner, one of Triumph Foundation’s founders. “This is opening (the veteran’s) eyes that they can still enjoy the sport and defend themselves.”
Every veteran will get a chance to shoot an assortment of rifles and handguns; regardless of their disability, according to officials.
7Star Tactical will be supplying expert instruction, a wide array of firearms, plenty of ammo, and adapted devices.
Triumph and 7star will ensure the shooting will be conducted professionally and with proven safety-first attention, according to officials.
The event is not open to the general public.
