Castaic and Val Verde, Zone 2
Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 6/15/2014 to 6/21/2015
The following crime were reported in Zone 2, Castaic/Val Verde.
A theft was reported from the 28000 block of Woodstock Lane. The victim said his cell phone went missing. After checking his home security camera, a male suspect is seen taking the phone from the driveway of his house. The victim believes it fell out of his car.
A theft occurred form the 31000 block of Parker Road. The victim reported seeing two of his ex-employees stealing items from his work truck. He called the sheriff station and gave a direction and vehicle description. Responding deputies found the vehicle and detained the two occupants. Several items the victim reported stolen were located in the suspect vehicle.
A commercial burglary was reported from the 31000 block of Castaic Road. The front glass doors to a local business were pried open. The suspects targeted the ATM machine inside. U.S. currency totaling $1,000 was reported missing from the machine.
Please remember to never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity. If you see any suspicious activity, call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
