wyattsavaikie2015[KHTS] – Funeral services for Wyatt Savaikie, the 14-year-old boy who was killed July 16 by a motorist at a Saugus intersection, will be held Saturday, July 25, at 11 a.m. at Real Life Church, 23841 Newhall Ranch Rd., Valencia.

“He was beautiful,” Wyatt’s mother, Teresa Savaikie, said in an SCVNews interview. “We are so honored to have had the privilege of having him in our lives, as our Gentle Giant, our precious son.”

Wyatt’s burial and celebration of life will follow the service.

His burial will be at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 Sierra Hwy, Newhall.

His celebration of life will be held at 28653 Lapine Avenue, Saugus.

Wyatt’s favorite color was purple; his family has encouraged people to wear whatever color they are comfortable wearing.

Everything is open to the public.

Wyatt is survived by his mother, Teresa; his father, Michael; and a 20-year-old sister and an 18-year-old brother.

“May the man that killed my son find comfort in his family,” Teresa Savaikie said in a post.

Wyatt would have been a freshman at Valencia High School in the fall.

A fundraising website, a Go Fund Me page and a Meal Train page have been set up to help cover funeral expenses for Wyatt.

The website was set up by family friend Kevin Bonn, who says in a YouTube video that Wyatt was struck and killed by a 78-year-old man who ran a red light.

The Go Fund Me page and the Meal Train page was set up by family friend for over 15 years, Tricia Guardado- Cascione.

“I have people who have never met the family donating and friends on vacation out of the country seeing we need help and taking time out if their vacation to donate,” said Guardado- Cascione.

Meal Train is a website that offers community members a chance to help provide meals to grieving families.

Checks can also be mailed to Chase bank at 26500 Bouquet Canyon Rd., Santa Clarita, CA 91350.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials are continuing to investigate the crash and will submit the findings in the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.

Is that literally what you have to say about a child who killed in our community?

    • Teresa Savaikie says:

I am the mother of Wyatt and No that is not all I have to say about my Gentle Giant. I don’t know you, you obviously do not know me or my family, and in my heart and mind I feel as though ,ayne you have never suffered such a loss because if you had you would know that there are no words to capture what we are feeling for our baby. I met the news services unexpetantly at his accident scene, may you find peace in your life and may you never, ever have to suffer a loss such as this. I have spoken to dozens and dozens of children that loved my baby. They need our uplifting, they need the community ity support. Wyatt would want me to hold them up as he did daily, as a mother I was honored and privileged to have had him for such a short time, he lifted our spirits daily and I will never run out of things to say about Wyatt, never. He has a father he has a twenty year old sister, an 18 year old brother and a father that was brought to his knees in sorrow, like my mother once said, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say a word. We are in shock, we refused formal interviews because we are trying to come to teems with OUR reality, Shame on you and may God give you compassion and understanding for all of those that have been stricken by grief, a sadness so profound that you cannot speak because it is so painful to accept the painful reality of never seeing your beautiful and full of life child walk though the door. From, Teresa Savaikie

Julian Agregan of course this is “NOT ALL SHE HAD TO SAY ABOUT HER SON” THE media only posted bits and pieces. Had you have been among the rest of the people who braved the rain last weekend to come to the candel light Vigil held for him, you would have heard the pain this family is going through. You would have seen with your own eyes as everyone tried to speak through their tears without completely falling apart in the process. It seems to me your looking to see pain for one reason or Another. If that is what your looking to see, to satisfy your hunger to know if this family feels pain and loss over loosing their youngest son, that’s pretty sick and We will keep YOU on our prayers. Your statements have been pretty aggressive and very ignorant. But if pain and sorrow are what you must see to make YOU feel better then the services are open to the public.come and see what the rest of us saw before you make your next assumed comment.July ,25th 11 am at real life Church.then if you have the guts to say this family isn’t grieving your invited to tell them and the rest of us how you feel. But like I said until YOU see with your own eyes, and hear with your ears what they are going through don’t assume they aren’t going to through their own hell right now. The reporter only takes notes and posts bits and pieces if you don’t like their story ask THEM for more details or better reporting.

  16. R.I. P. Wyatt, your family knows you are looking down on them?
