On Monday, July 27, at the Samuel Dixon Family Health Center, Inc. Annual Meeting held at the Elks Lodge in Canyon Country, Dave Perry, Assistant Field Deputy for Supervisor Michael Antonovich, conducted the installation of the board members to a new term.
Perry congratulated Gloria Mercado-Fortine in her successful first year serving as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, and welcomed her into her second year in the same role. Continuing to assist the Chairperson is Edward Bolden as Vice Chairman of Fundraising, and Mike Fisher as Vice Chairman.
Also continuing in their roles, Dr. David Goldberg remains the Secretary, and P.K. Reibsamen continues on as Treasurer. Community members remaining in their roles on the Board of Directors were also recognized, including Carolina Orozco, Amanda Calderon, and Irene Leon.
Gloria Mercado-Fortine is congratulated for a successful first year as board chair. She’ll continue in the role.
Many of those in attendance took special time out to honor the members of the board for their leadership roles in the organization.
Certificates of Recognition were presented to the 2015-2016 Officers and Board of Directors of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers on behalf of our local legislators including Supervisor Michael Antonovich, Congressman Steve Knight, Senator Sharon Runner, Assemblyman Scott Wilk, and the City of Santa Clarita.

SDFHC was established in 1980 and named for long-time Val Verde resident and minister, the late Reverend Samuel Dixon.
