Ryan Hughes and the Cory Tarrant Forever Young Foundation are pairing up to offer a free Motocross Safety Awareness School on Sunday, Sept. 13, form 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the MX-126 track in Piru, where Tarrant crashed and later died at age 17 in 2012.
Hughes, former AMA and FIM Supercross title contender, will teach everything that motocross entails, with a broad focus on safety and increasing awareness among riders to take control of their own and others’ safety.
With over 30 years of professional experience, Hughes will cover body positioning, safe and functional technique, starts, turns, ruts, jumps, whoops and more.
This School is free all riders level 65CC and up – but raffle tickets will be sold (with awesome prizes) to benefit the Cory Tarrant Forever Young Foundation. All proceeds help to purchase library books for elementary schools and teddy bears for patients at local hospitals in Santa Clarita.
Parents are encouraged to attend.
