Castaic and Val Verde, Zone 2
Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information from 9/21/2015 to 9/27/2015
The following crime were reported in Zone 2, Castaic/Val Verde.
A domestic dispute was reported from the 31000 block of The Old Road. The victim received stitches from an object thrown at them from their spouse. The crime occurred on 6-6-15 during the early morning hours.
An assault was reported from an unknown address on San Martinez Avenue. A dispute occurred between several known associates over an arm wrestling competition. All parties were uncooperative with responding deputies. The incident is believed to be gang related.
A residential burglary was reported from the 29000 block of Cromwell Avenue. The victim reported seeing a male suspect leaving their garage. The suspect description was the same as another theft related report in the area. The burglary occurred days after their garage door opened was stolen from their vehicle. The crime occurred on 9-25-15.
A theft was reported from the 29000 block of Cromwell Avenue. The above mentioned victim’s vehicle had several items stolen from inside it while parked in the driveway. The crime occurred on 9-21. Among the items stolen were the garage door opener. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft.
A theft was reported from the 28000 block of Lincoln Avenue. A male suspect, matching the same description as above, was seen attempting to take items from the victim’s yard. The suspect ran to a waiting vehicle when confronted, and drove away. The victim followed the suspect vehicle until law enforcement personnel were notified. The suspect was detained and identified by Ventura County Sheriff Department but was not arrested at the time of the incident. Santa Clarita deputies met the victim at his residence, confirmed that a crime had occurred and took a report. Station detectives are handling the investigation. The crime occurred on 9-27-15.
A theft was reported from the 31000 block of Castaic Road. The victim’s credit card was compromised and $2,671.00 of diesel gas were purchased. The card was used at numerous locations including two locations in Castaic.

Wish Ventura County Sheriffs had not let him go when the victim on Lincoln contacted them and pointed out where the suspect was in Fillmore! I guess you can commit crime in LA county an cal ally ally oxen free in Ventura county!
