A Santa Clarita man has pleaded no-contest and been sentenced in a Burbank stabbing that occurred in August.
Ryan Davis, 35, was charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon. While Davis initially pleaded not-guilty when he was arrested, he later changed that plea when he was brought to court.
“Davis pleaded no contest to assault with a deadly weapon, a knife, on Oct. 22,” said Ricardo Santiago with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.
The Santa Clarita man was sentenced to 60 days in jail, three years of formal probation, 30 days of community service, and was ordered to keep away from the victim.
Around 1:15 a.m. on Aug. 17, Burbank Police Department officers responded to the 600 block of Cambridge Drive in Burbank, regarding an assault taking place, said Sergeant Claudio Losacco, public information officer for the Burbank Police Department, in a previous email to KHTS.
Two men who had known each other for several years got into a fight, Losacco said.
