[KHTS] – A Canyon Country woman accused of setting her neighbor’s home on fire earlier this year plead no contest at her arraignment last week, an official with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said.
Kristine Cosgrove, 53, plead no contest Thursday to the charge of arson of an inhabited structure, said L.A. County District Attorney Spokesman Ricardo Santiago.
She is due back in court for sentencing on Jan. 7, 2016.
Cosgrove was arrested the morning of May 26, 2015 after a reported standoff with Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies that began the night before, according to witnesses.
The standoff took place on the 14900 block of Daffodil Avenue in Shadow Pines following preliminary reports that a woman had allegedly thrown gasoline on her neighbor’s door and porch and then lit the doormat on fire before returning to her home across the street.
No injuries were reported and the house did not appear to sustain any significant damage, according to Fire Department officials who responded to the home. The fire was extinguished by the time Fire officials arrived.
A neighborhood resident noted there have been numerous disturbance complaints against Cosgrove.
The alleged incident was believed to stem from a dispute with neighbors.

Who says we don’t have good neighbors here in Canyon Country.
The helicopter giving us instructions was more disturbing to more people than the feud up the block. One good thing about drones is that they will put nuisance helicopters onto the scrap heap of terrorism.
