New Global Adventures officially announced the first inaugural Valencia Trail Race, an all trail race featuring 10K, Half Marathon, and 50K Ultra distances to run on March 20 through the hills of Valencia.

“Running on open trails breaking away from the concrete jungle clears the mind and feeds the soul, these trails provide that serenity while providing a good fitness challenge to keep us healthy.” says runner and race director Terry Majamaki.

Southern California features a diverse range of nature and terrain, giving runners a wide variety of spectacular trails and running experiences. Located north of Los Angeles up against the California State park boundaries is Valencia, a suburban community that is surrounded by hills and mountains featuring awesome trails to be experienced.

Registration is now open with course distances for all types of runners to offer a variety of challenges. Experience course that takes you up to the peaks and along the ridgelines with panoramic views, then into the canyons through the hills of Valencia for a truly awesome trail challenge. Registration is also available on Active.com and IAmAthelete.com in addition to the official race website at VALENCIATrailRace.com.

Race day is Sunday March 20th, 2016, the start is located off San Francisquito Canyon Road starting around 7:00 AM at sunrise. Runner check-in will be on Saturday March 19th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the new Tesoro Sports Park located off Rancho Tesoro Drive in Valencia, CA. Last minute check-in will be available at the start. Check the website for details.

This event is brought to you by the organizers of the iconic and legendary Shangri-La Marathon & Ultra from the Himalayan mountains and Yunnan Puzhehei International Marathon  an adventure race in the beautiful Puzhehei scenic area in the Yunnan province of southern China.
