Castaic/Val Verde: Public Safety Report for the Week of April 24th- May 1st
The following crimes were reported last week:
4/25/16
Burglary- 27000 block of Peridot Way.
The victim reported waking up and seeing a male suspect in her kitchen. The suspect ran out the front door and out of view. Nothing was reported missing. The crime occurred at 5:20 pm.
4/28/16
Theft- 30000 block of Penrose Lane.
An envelope containing $2,750 in US currency was taken from the glove box of the victim’s vehicle. A second vehicle was reported rummaged through but nothing was taken. Neither vehicle had signs of forced entry. The crime occurred in the early morning hours.
Please remember to never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity. If you see any suspicious activity, or have information related to a crime, please call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.

Any updates on a string of home invasion robberies in the Hasley Hills community in the last week. Word is they might have made an arrest in the area that is connected.
