The Castaic Union School District has announced that Linette Hodson has been selected as its new Chief Business Official.

After conducting an extensive search, The District announced Tuesday evening that Ms. Hodson, Assistant Superintendent Business Services of Keppel Union School District for the past four years, will begin service as the Castaic District’s CBO on June 13.

In addition to her experience as Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, Ms. Hodson also served four years as Assistant Superintendent Support Services in the 2,700-student Keppel Union School District. Prior to her move to the Keppel Union School District in 2004, Ms. Hodson spent 14 years in the Palmdale School District as Director of Special Education, Principal, Curriculum Resource Teacher and as a third grade teacher. As you can see, Ms. Hodson comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of education.

Ms. Hodson received her Master’s degree from California State University, Bakersfield after receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Central College, Iowa.

She is a person of high integrity. Ms. Hodson is known for her ability to understand and relate the instructional program needs to align with the fiscal resources of the district. She is all about ensuring that our district financial resources maximize student outcomes and achievement for every child.”

Ms. Hodson is a highly respected administrator that has a reputation for developing relationships with all stakeholders. She is an effective communicator and is very successful in making complex financial information understandable. Her past background in regular and special education provides a unique perspective and skill set not often found in the business office.
