Rashad Hampton, 26, of Newhall, posted $35,000 bail a little more than 24 hours after mid-day traffic on the east side of the Santa Clarita Valley was brought to a halt, when a bus driver reported a gun tucked into Hampton’s waistband.

It’s Prop47… If he’s a mental health release, he’s receiving services with our tax dollars. This needs to end before the next batch is released this fall.
Horrible news!!?????
Anyone surprised?
Did you vote for prop 47?? Read before you vote for this craziest stuff!
Prop 47 is sucking businesses dry !
All I know is the crime in our valley is so much worse than it was a few years ago, especially since they passed prop 47,that was a terrible choice that the voters passed!Study before you vote!
Ridiculous
Lol state of California!
Well he better don’t do w wrong move around me around town. I won’t be as nice as the swat team was. ?.
of course he’s out. poor little feller didn’t mean to pass out on a public bus. he got mixed up.
This has nothing to do with Prop 47! He bailed out & bail is a State & Federal Constitutional right. The real question should be is if he can afford that $35K bail bond, why is he riding around in a bus?!!
10%
Wow….
because him or his family only has to come up with 10% of that.
You guys missed my point. Whether 10% or 100%, that money could have went to a car!
Some people don’t have the credit for a car. I have a car and still take the bus from time to time.
