Along with the accessory manufacturer Brighton, Cobblestone Cottage is extending an invitation to join them in their latest charitable initiative, the Handbag Trade-In. This is their annual drive to collect and deliver gently used handbags to women.
Nearly every woman has handbags that she no longer carries, so Cobblestone Cottage manager, Jamee Brandt, and Brighton are asking women to look into their closets and gather up the bags they no longer use.
Brighton’s owner and founder Jerry Kohl explains their mutual goal: “The simple gift of a handbag can do so much to lift a woman’s spirits, and that handbag may still be as beautiful as the day you bought it and bring joy to another woman less fortunate than you.”
When women bring their handbags to Cobblestone Cottage, between July 15 and July 24, 2016, they will also receive $25-$50 off a brand new Brighton bag. The donated bags will be turned over to Assistance League Santa Clarita to be resold in their AL Resale Shop at 24364 Main Street in Old Town Newhall. They, in turn, use that money to enrich the lives of those less fortunate in our community.
To qualify for this special savings, the donated bags can be from any manufacturer. With the purchase of $100-$200, there is a $25 bonus; with a purchase of $201 or more, the bonus is $50.
