EngageSCV will be hosting a website design workshop on Monday, August 22, to give local entrepreneurs an insight on proper website design.
Titled “Design Thinking,” this workshop will focus on understanding people’s needs, and creatively discovering the solutions to meet those needs.
When Gem Digital creates a website, they throw the traditional understanding of what a website should look like out the window. They always strive to provide something new and unique that engages the user in a delightful experience they want to share with others.
This workshop will show you how Gem Digital Agency creates online experiences that add significant value to your brand.
The workshop will teach these core concepts:
Understand – Create personas
Explore – Brainstorm ideas
Prototype – Fail early
Evaluate – Test often
It starts with understanding the user. What exactly are their needs? You will learn how to create empathetic user personas which will help come up with the most engaging solutions.
The exploration phase comes after knowing who the users are and what they’re looking for. In this phase, you will learn how to make the experience truly unique for the user. The workshop will talk about what makes a successful brainstorming session and how to get the most out of it.
Prototyping the concept comes after we come up with a concept that gains traction. This can be done in a variety of ways. In this step, you are going to learn how to present an initial idea, gather feedback, and iterate.
Lastly, you must evaluate the solution quickly and cost-effectively, making sure you are ready to build it then launch.
At the end, you will be versed in the creative process we use to not create traditional, boring websites, but instead, delightful digital user experiences that solve your clients’ problems in a unique, creative way. You’ll be able to apply the same knowledge during your creative process.
