Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Detectives are looking for a man who allegedly shot at a vehicle during an apparent incident of road rage.

A family’s Cadillac Escalade was shot at around 6:30 p.m. Monday night at the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and River Circle in Canyon Country.

The family of four was traveling westbound on Soledad Canyon Road when the suspect, described as a M/W, 20-30 years old with a goatee, pulled alongside the victims’ vehicle in a gray Honda Civic, produced a handgun, firing bullets that hit the tires of the victims’ SUV.

The driver of the SUV said that she activated her windshield washer nozzles to wash her windshield and shortly after, the suspect pulled alongside her vehicle and motioned for her to roll her window down. After she rolled her window down, the suspect yelled at her that she got his new car wet. She apologized and then rolled her window back up. The suspect brandished a handgun at the victims, then fired at least two rounds, hitting the tires of the victim’s vehicle.

The suspect’s car, a gray Honda Civic with paper plates, then fled westbound on Soledad Canyon Road and out of view.
