This year marks the 22nd consecutive year that the City has received the nationally recognized Certificate of Excellence Award from the Association of Public Treasurers of United States and Canada for its success in developing a comprehensive written investment policy.
Investment policies may receive certification from the Investment Policy Certification Committee if all areas from The Model Investment Policy are addressed. This policy includes elements the Association of Public Treasurers of United States and Canada deems essential to a written investment policy such as Policy, Scope, Delegation of Authority, Ethics and Conflicts of Interest.
The Certificate of Achievement from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. This is the 27th consecutive year the City has received this prestigious award for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).
