princesscruises113016Princess Cruises has won four awards from the readers of Porthole Cruise Magazine, receiving Best Central America Itineraries, Best South Pacific Itineraries, Best Onboard Shopping and Best Signature Cocktail in the magazine’s 18th annual Readers’ Choice Awards.

The awards represent the 16th year that the line has been recognized in an itinerary category and the ninth year that Princess took top honors for onboard shopping boutiques. Award winners were determined by thousands of readers and online fans of Porthole Cruise Magazine, who voted for their favorite cruise lines and ships in 54 cruise-related categories. In fact, this year garnered a record-breaking number of ballots.

“We’re so pleased that Porthole readers continue to recognize our destination expertise with our worldwide itineraries, as well as the quality of our onboard boutiques,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises president. “This year, we’re equally honored to be recognized with the Best Signature Cocktail as we’re proud of the beverage enhancements we’ve introduced recently.”

With itineraries ranging from 10 to 19 days, Princess guests can experience of the world’s engineering marvels by cruising through the Panama Canal and visiting intriguing ports in Columbia, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Guests drawn to the wonder of the South Pacific can choose from 13-, 29- to 35-day cruises with visits to gorgeous Tahitian islands including Bora Bora, Morea, Papeete.

The shopping boutiques onboard Princess Cruises offer a wide selection of gifts and cruise memories, including duty-free shopping for jewelry, including a partnership with Effy, fine fragrances and cosmetics, brand-name accessories and apparel, fine gifts, liquor, cruise souvenirs and sundries.

Onboard beverage offerings include new craft beers, a dedicated international whiskey menu, one of the largest collections of Super Tuscan wines at sea, regionally inspired cocktails, classic martinis and even the “Isaac,” crafted by America’s favorite Love Boat bartender.

“From onboard shopping to food and beverage options to the amazing itineraries that Princess Cruises sails, our experienced readers have continually recognized the line in a variety of categories,” said Bill Panoff, Porthole Cruise Magazine’s publisher and editor-in-chief. “I congratulate Princess on their much-deserved wins this year.”

Over its 20-year history, Porthole Cruise Magazine has become the world’s leading cruise travel magazine, available on newsstands and by both print and digital subscriptions. Published bimonthly, the magazine features exciting editorial and stunning photography on topics from ship reviews and cruise destinations to life on board and activities on shore.
