Up to the day of the election, most people I encountered repeatedly expressed being overly saturated with the campaign videos, the repetitious verbiage, the negative trouncing, polls, unrelenting television commercials, main-stream media’s biased reporting, mailers, political taking heads.
We were anxious for November 8th to be done.
Naively, many thought the day would come and go; there would be a new president and whether we liked it or not, the next four years would be endured with that victor in place—we would adjust.
Naïve does not begin to describe that thought. There’s as much negativity now as the pre-election months and it not only comes with a lot of sore losers griping and whining, but with active riotous destruction.
College students have taken to “safe-comfort-zones” to hug stuffed animals, cry and drink hot cocoa while they avoid taking due tests and going to class.
Unfortunately this episodic weakness for comfort-seeking will not appear in any part of their college accomplishments so they could be evaluated accordingly. Personally, I’d like to know if a professional I might be looking to hire was so fragile, he/she had to have a crying room with a teddy bear and warm drink in college because they simply didn’t get their way.
Donald Trump was maligned for not saying, pre-election, that he would definitely accept the election’s outcome. He said he’d “look at it at the time”. Hillary’s reply to Trump’s position was “That’s horrifying–(T)hat is not the way our democracy works”. She then said accepting elections has been the way for 240 years even though the outcomes may not have been what we wanted.
The Left was wholly with her and then—she lost. Since that day, America has had a front row seat to the seeing the Left’s actions being a clear antithesis to their spoken words.
During the campaign, the repetitious political talk shows and the news media relentlessly gave the stats on each state’s providing “X” amount of Electoral College votes to the candidates. The popular vote was not the topic; electoral votes were. Post-election, Democrats are decrying the Electoral College and talking of it abolition. Moreover they’re screaming that Hillary won the popular vote.
The Left is blaming everyone and everyone for their loss; it was the hillbilly voters in coal country, the hicks in working middle America, Trump’s campaign, FBI’s James Comey, the media, and so-on. Even at this moment, the Left is either unable to see or refuses to recognize that they lost because a significant amount of Americans were pushed too far, ignored and mocked. After all, they were just a bunch of wheat-growing, cow-milking dimwits. Yes, the ones who cling to their guns and Bibles.
The Left cannot understand why Hillary’s glitzy campaigners of one-percenters like Beyonce, Streisand, George Clooney, Jay-Z, Bon Jovi, Springsteen and various “starlets” didn’t work.
Hillary Clinton was no more likable than Trump. Hillary has passed the point of having scandals; she is a scandal. Trump is off-the-cuff, fearless, independent and wincingly bombastic but apparently America is willing to let Trump have a shot at governance.
Trump let working middle America know he appreciated them and they knew he recognized them. It worked.
The path ahead was all to clear with a Hillary presidency as evidenced as far back as the Clinton’s Arkansas days, the Clinton presidency, Hillary’s Secretary of State “service” and the Clinton Foundation.
With what we’ve seen in the past month; Trump hasn’t taken a day off preparing to take the oval office and it’s refreshing to see a non-politician at work.
The chance is worth it.

Amen…
I’m going to stick my neck out and venture to say that you are comfortable with the electing of a genital grabbing bigot with an over whelming self image of entitlement. That you are pleased that he wants to allow old white men to completely control women’s rights to govern their own bodies.
Some of us are not, in fact, “the Left” as you say. Many of us are independents, people of color, equal rights loving LGBT, #ENDCITIZENSUNITED activists and environmental caring human beings who have great concerns about the stability of a man who has seriously obvious borderline personality issues.
If those students who are using their constitutional right to express their sadness regarding the electoral college’s manipulation of the contrived outcome of an outdated process which should have been changed immediately after THE RIGHT’S Supreme Court appointed the prince Bush POTUS over the people chose Gore…..then I applaud their courage and bravery in doing so.
Also, I leave you with a fact of history, no one believed the activists who warned them of Hitler’s reign of terror…….
Betty, you’ve done it again; you absolutely nailed it! Bravo! Now get ready for all the whining vitriol; you know it’s coming.
Hello Betty. I an not a barber, beautician or hair stylist. Would it not be ‘refreshing’, then, for me to cut your hair? It’s free too. Want to take that chance? After all, it’s only your hair.
Damn right, Betty! Well said.
This clown show has been a hoot, frankly. Got schadenfreude?
I don’t know who deleted my previous comment, but it just shows that you are once again correct about the whiny, selfish, INTOLERANT leftists.
