One Big Spot
In December, a California angler caught a spotted bass at New Bullards Bar reservoir, located in northern California’s Yuba County, that very well could be a new world record. Cody Meyer, a professional angler from Grass Valley, caught the massive bass on a soft plastic lure about 20 feet below the surface in 100 feet of water. The fish weighed 10.8 pounds on a certified scale. Currently there is another fish of a similar caliber also caught at New Bullards Bar going through the world record certification process. Official results of both fish are yet to be determined. Congratulations to Cody on a fish of a lifetime!

Starting Jan. 1, 2017, cash will no longer be accepted at CDFW’s License and Revenue Branch and regional license counters. Individuals who want to make payments at CDFW’s License and Revenue Branch or a regional license counter can use checks, money orders or any debit/credit card with the Visa or Mastercard logo. Cash transactions will still be available for all items sold at authorized local sales agents.
