The city of Santa Clarita’s Concerts in the Park, presented by Logix Federal Credit Union, is returning to Central Park each Saturday at 7:00 p.m., from July 8 through August 26, with an irresistible lineup of music and food vendors. Bring friends and family, set up a chair and let the evening take you away.

On July 8, Queen Nation is guaranteed to “rock you” with what many critics claim is the best Queen re-creation in the world. With lead vocalist Joe Retta’s reincarnation of Freddie Mercury’s voice, style and mannerisms, and guitarist Mike McMannus’ Brian May-esque riffs, you may find yourself back in the ‘80s.

On July 15, Kalimba’s tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire is sure to make you “groove” and “boogie.” Even former Earth, Wind & Fire guitarist, Sheldon Reynold, says that “out of 1000 other bands…Kalimba is the first band that gets it like it’s supposed to be played.”

The Atomic Punks will take the stage on July 22, reviving the spirit of Van Halen’s early days known as the David Lee Roth era. This seasoned band has given over 1,500 performances across the country and has been voted best tribute band by L.A.’s Rock City News six years in a row.

July 29 will veer away from tributes towards the heart and soul of rock and country, supplied by Double Wide and Savannah Burrows. Savannah Burrows, Santa Clarita native and winner of the 2016 Santa Clarita annual Country Showdown, has a country style that’s all her own. Her history of opening for the Swon Brothers and playing the Bluebird Café in Nashville speaks for itself. Double Wide is a rockin’ country western show band that performs hits from artists like Big & Rich, Toby Keith, Garth Brooks and many more. Get ready to line-dance and rock out!

On August 5, the first Saturday of the month, Savor will take the stage to pay homage to the Latin-Rock legend Santana. Their seamless renditions of classic hits like “Black Magic Woman” and “Oye Como Va” could easily pass for the real thing.

You’ll want to claim your patch of grass early on August 12 for The PettyBreakers as they usually play for a packed house. Their delivery of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers experience is so authentic, they were chosen to perform on AXS TV’s “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands.”

On August 19, you will not want to miss 40 oz. to Freedom’s tribute to Sublime. This band won the 2010 San Diego Music Award for Best Tribute Band with their So-Cal vibe, shredding guitar riffs and heavy, iconic vocals.

The Sun Kings will bring the 2017 Concerts in the Park series one final reason to “come together” with their nod to The Beatles on August 26. Spot-on arrangements and vocals continue to make The Sun Kings one of the top tribute acts in the country. Their repertoire of more than 150 songs, spanning from “Hamburg” to “Rooftop,” reminds audiences across the nation why The Beatles became a world-wide phenomenon.
