Found off the trail… glad he’s safe but hope HE pays for the rescue.
Wonder who’s footing the bill this guy didn’t know he was lost or that anyone was looking for him …says “he forgot a phone charger” what a waste of resources
dont hike alone!
And if you do hike alone, let people know where you’re going and when you expect to return. And do NOT think that a cellphone is all you need to keep you safe. You may not be able to summon help, and if you can, it’s going to cost a lot of people a great deal of time and money to save your sorry carcass.

If I ever get lost I better not get a bill for rescue. I pay so much in property taxes and other taxes it better be covered! There are very small towns who only have volunteer rescue and fire but around here our TAXES are supposed to pay for this!
So glad he was found safe! That said, why oh why was he hiking alone?
Shouldn’t it be like swimming always with “buddy”.
