why? it’s has not been an issue. I have never been stuck it traffic there and thought, why don’t they widen the bridge… but the thousands of pot holes everywhere do bother me like seco..
Potholes all over this valley, take care of those first
Yep…. San francisquito has a bunch…
Hasn’t started yet, but I’d already like to know the projected end date for this.
Santa Clarita never had a vision for anything. A kindergartner could have designed the city better.
i’ve always wondered who designed traffic in this area. The best one ever was the back-in parking only in downtown newhall…what a cluster-f*ck that was!!
Can they add another lane on Golden Valley from Sierra to Center Point Pkwy?
Why……..
From the looks of that photo, it appears that this project is long overdue! *snark^
I’m wondering, too, why the need for widening? Traffic is horrible in many parts of theSCV, why, specifically, does this area need attention?
I’d like to see sidewalks on Copperhull north of Benz to David way. It’s awful. Looks so unfinished and with the amount of people that travel that way, it should be finished.
One side of this bridge has no sidewalk or shoulder or bike lane of any kind so if you are a pedestrian, you can’t safely get over the bridge and the nearest places to cross to the other side are far away. Maybe thats what they are adding?
This is the bridge by Mcbean
Why?

?????????
Somehow widen Bouquet.
They need to widen the bridge on The Old Road heading into Rye Canyon.
.02 cents … The Old Road is County…call them and see if they put that little bridge in that new 30 Billion dollar budget plan they just announced (I agree that needs widening big time). Pot holes on San Fran…are also County.
City has a great on-line service request system, you see a pot hole that “could” cause damage…call them and I am pretty sure they will address it in a reasonable amount of time. I have used it and their response time was great. Just saying.
This has been long in the planning. The McBean bridge (by post office ) went first, this is second, and will look similar. It’s also about connecting bike paths, something way too long in the process to complete. Shocking to believe but still not enough residence / homes … therefore, property taxes and other taxes… to pay for the other stuff that’s needed. Plus still a huge issue attracting bigger businesses that’s needed to attract more development. Case n point: more development is in Canyon Country – off 14. With Disney coming that area will explode in growth but will only add to the congestion here in Valencia.
