Castaic/ Val Verde Crime Information and Public Safety Report for the Week of April 10-16, 2017
Good afternoon Castaic/Val Verde residents, here is the Crime Information and Public Safety Report for the week of April 10-17, 2017.
4/11/17
Grand Theft Auto – 28000 block of Branch Road
The victim reported a 2005 Chevy 2500 truck was stolen from the driveway of their home. Victim also reported $3,000 worth of speakers were stolen from their boat. The crime occurred during the early morning hours.

Grand Theft Auto – 31000 block of Castaic Road
The victim reported their white 2009 Peterbilt truck and trailer was stolen from the parking lot. The crime occurred in the early morning hours.
4/11/17
Battery- 31000 block of Castaic Road
The victim was outside the location smoking a cigarette and reported being punched by a bar patron. Multiple witnesses said the victim was extremely intoxicated during the incident. The suspect was not located. The crime occurred at 10:00 pm.

Residential Burglary- 27000 Church Street
The victim reported her ex-boyfriend entered her house without permission and took several items. The crime occurred during the daytime hours.

Petty Theft- 31000 block of The Old Road
An employee at the business reported two teenage boys stole candy and food items from the business. The employee confronted the juveniles and they returned the items. The juveniles left prior to the arrival of deputies.
4/13/17
Domestic Dispute- 27000 block of Elk Ridge Road
The victim reported his wife stole $51,000 in cash and $71,000 worth of U.S. post stamps after posting bail on a Domestic Violence arrest. The victim said the suspect also violated a protective restraining order by returning to the home to steal the items.
4/15/17
Petty Theft- 27000 block of Fantastic Lane
The victim reported the window trim to her driver’s side vehicle window was stolen while parked at the location. The crime occurred during the daytime hours.
Remember to never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity.
