Are you a local business representative interested in learning how the newly expanded Santa Clarita Valley Enterprise Zone can save your business money? If so, the City of Santa Clarita, the County of Los Angeles, and Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation invite you to a FREE Enterprise Zone Breakfast Workshop on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
The workshop will provide information on the newly expanded Enterprise Zone and how businesses can benefit from this tax savings program. Keynote speaker Jon Collard of American Tax Incentives will discuss how qualified businesses can reduce their state income tax through the Enterprise Zone program.
“Since 2007, qualified local businesses located in the Santa Clarita Enterprise Zone have saved millions. The Santa Clarita Enterprise Zone has provided more jobs for our community and has allowed local business owners to keep more of their dollars to reinvest in future success,” said Mayor Laurie Ender. “With the expanded Enterprise Zone boundaries, more of our local businesses can take advantage of this unique tax savings program,” she added.
The Santa Clarita Valley Enterprise Zone program has already saved 323 local businesses more than $178 million. Interested parties should reserve a seat as space is limited. RSVP to Enterprise Zone Vouchering Agent Alicia Parra at (661) 286-4071 or by email to RSVP@santa-clarita.com. Santa Clarita City Hall is located at 23920 Valencia Blvd.
