The City of Santa Clarita invites residents to enjoy an afternoon of entertainment with its excursion to IRIS by Cirque Du Soleil at the Kodak Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 24.
IRIS takes the audience into the “world of cinema,” highlighting the evolution of the film industry from silent dramas to 3-D spectaculars. The show incorporates dance, acrobatics, live video and animation to celebrate the history and process of filmmaking.
With music produced by acclaimed composer, Danny Elfman, IRIS is touted as a breathtaking, theatrical adventure for the entire family. Los Angeles is host to IRIS’ world premiere, and through the City of Santa Clarita recreation program residents of the Santa Clarita Valley have a unique opportunity to enjoy the performance.
Space is still available for this exciting event but the excursion is filling up fast. Tickets are available online and by phone through the City’s Recreation Office, with pricing as follows: $105 per person for residents, $120 per person for non-residents, and $110 per person for non-resident seniors (55+).
Bus transportation and reserved parterre seating, or seating at the rear of the main floor, is included in the cost of the trip. Registered attendees will depart from the City of Santa Clarita Activities Center at 11:00 a.m. and return to Santa Clarita around 5:00 p.m. The Santa Clarita Activities Center is located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway.
