Manufacturing in California will be the topic of discussion at the Valley Industry Association’s next monthly luncheon Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Valencia Country Club.
Three local industry leaders – Brad Spahr of Specialty Motors, Rod Smith of Bayless Engineering and Bill Barritt of Aerospace Dynamics – will share their perspectives on California’s manufacturing climate. The discussion will focus on the unique issues manufacturers face in the state; how they’ve weathered the recent recession; and why they’ve decided to stay in California.
Also on tap: David LaChina, project coordinator for the SCV’s coming Center for International Trade Development, will share the organization’s plans and discuss some of the opportunities the center will offer.
The luncheon starts at 11:45 a.m. Cost is $50 at the door. RSVP by calling 661-294-8088. The Valencia Country Club is located at 27330 Tourney Road in Valencia.
